Pick Your Plum Grab Box

I secured my second Pick Your Plum grab box. It came in today's mail.

Sadly, it might have been the highlight of my day.

This grab box had a lot more articles of clothing than before. Total I had 22 different items. Here they are:

1. A long sleeved maroon t-shirt. 2. Purple folding snack cups. 3. Neon flashing shoe laces. 4. Wooden flowers. 5. Personalized ribbon that says, "Thinking of you, Pamela."

6. Cupcake liners and picks. 7. A black short sleeve t-shirt. 8. A black beret with lace trim and cute button accents. 9. A gold necklace. 10. Metal square dangle bracelets.

11. A tan and white polka dot zippered storage container. (this will find a home in my camper soon!) 12. Blue and White Polka Dot French Fry containers. 13. A grey stocking cable knit designed stocking cap with brown button accents. 14. and 15. Earring basis. Post earrings and fish hooks.

16. Long black necklace and matching bracelets. 17. A blue and gold necklace.

18. A black snap notepad. 19. An orange beaded belt. 20. A turquoise stripped skirt. 21. A yellow beaded necklace. 22. Multi-stripped leg warmers.

There ya have it. My second grab box. Can I also say there was no drama in purchasing this one? It might have helped that I woke up early on a Saturday and actually remembered they were going on sale that day. I should also apologize for the slightly blurry photos. I am breaking in a new point and shoot camera.

My Weekend Project: A PVC Camping Lamp Post and Flag Holder

I have seen a few of these around campsites and I knew I would like to have one. The only problem that I had is The Husband. He already thinks we drag too much stuff with us when we go camping and if I had told him my desire to have a PVC Camping Light Pole he would have shut it down quickly! Tonsillectomy (Warning Photos!)

The Short Chic came down with a pretty nasty case of strep throat back in April. So, when The Boy started complaining about his throat hurting about 12 days later, I was pretty confident that he had inherited his sister's strep. Instead, The Boy was diagnosed with a peritonsillar abscess growing on his right tonsil. We had to immediately see an ENT Physician who took a needle and drained the abscess. He removed about 5.5 cc of puss from The Boys throat.and then told us that once you have a peritonsillar abscess you were high risk to keep getting them. The Boy's tonsils were now compromised and needed to be removed. We were told to plan for a two week recovery so we worked a surgery into our summer plans. Today is an anniversary date. One of those dates you wish you did not have to remember but there is no way you can forget. Fifteen years ago today,two days after his birthday, my father died of lung cancer. He was a lifelong smoker and his cancer was aggressive. His battle was short.
